Buy recycled - Look for recycled content in the products you buy. Better yet, look for items that use post-consumer content, which means the item is made from materials found from community recycling programs - maybe even yours!

Waste Reduction Week 2009 Launches

Launch events
WRW in Saskatchewan was launched both in Regina, at Ecole Massey School, and in Saskatoon, at St. Angela School. This year, Recycle Saskatchewan unveiled their six new teaching units for grades 7 & 8 that educate youth about waste reduction and environmental stewardship.  At each event, students went head-to-head with the likes of Saskatchewan politicians, crown corporation representatives and product stewardship executives in an “Are You Smarter than a 7th (or 8th) Grader?” competition using material from the new teaching units.
